How to migrate subscription providers in Zaymo
Last updated: March 11, 2026
The migration of subscription providers in Zaymo is very simple--all you need to do is remove one integration and add the API key(s) for another integration.
However, to do the migration well, there are a handful of consequences to live Klaviyo flows. Below are some warnings followed by Zaymo's recommended process. You will want to do some preparation so that the handoff between providers is done cleanly.
Many of the thoughts below are related to are not unique to Zaymo. For example, just about any live subscription email you have will have tags specific to your old subscription integration. You would need to rebuild those emails whether you use Zaymo or not.
Live Zaymo blocks may no longer work
Some features of Zaymo's subscription blocks are unique to each integration provider. Therefore, if you switch providers, it is likely that any live block will stop behaving correctly.
Zaymo recommends building new emails for each subscription flow that you have.
Recommended process for flows
Step 1: Prepare new subscription emails
Start with the basic, fallback version of those emails. Make sure to include the new subscription provider's tags to pull the right data
Import this email into Zaymo, and edit the email with Zaymo content
Export back to Klaviyo and set this email live in the flow
Set the flow live without Zaymo (ex: upcoming billing reminder, subscription winback, etc.) if you want to have customers get valid emails in the meantime
Change subscription integration in Zaymo
Integrate with your new subscription provider
Step 3: Build Zaymo template
Import new email into Zaymo
Build Zaymo email
Export back to Klaviyo
Step 4: Set Zaymo template live
Replace your temporary static emails with the new Zaymo emails
