How Zaymo Uses Shopify Collections

Last updated: April 1, 2026

Zaymo integrates with Shopify collections to provide dynamic product recommendations and automated product feeds in your emails. This article explains how collections work, how they stay updated, and best practices for setup.

Product Feed Options

Zaymo offers several dynamic product feed sources when building product blocks:

  • Products from a collection - Pulls products from a specified Shopify collection, sorted by best sellers

  • Shopify best sellers - Uses Shopify's overall best-selling products

  • Shopify recommendations - Leverages Shopify's Product Recommendations API

  • Zaymo AI recommendations - Uses Zaymo's machine learning for personalized suggestions

  • Manual product selection - Allows you to handpick specific products

Automatic Updates

Real-Time Syncing

Collections automatically stay up to date without requiring you to re-export emails from Zaymo. When you use a Shopify collection as your product feed source:

  • Any products added to or removed from the collection will automatically appear in your emails

  • Changes take effect even after you've exported the email to Klaviyo

  • No need to rebuild or re-export templates when collection contents change

Cache System

Zaymo operates on a 24-hour cache system for product information:

  • Product prices, discounts, and availability refresh every 24 hours

  • Subscription pricing and purchase options may take up to 24 hours to appear

  • For immediate updates, contact support for a manual sync

Setting Up Collections

Requirements

For collections to work properly in Zaymo:

  1. Publish to Zaymo Sales Channel

    • Go to your Shopify collection settings

    • Ensure the collection is published to the "Zaymo" sales channel

  2. Publish Individual Products

    • Each product within the collection must also be published to the Zaymo sales channel

    • Products should be set to "Active" status (not draft)

Product Groups

You can sync product groups with Shopify collections:

  • Manual selection: Handpick products for the group

  • Collection sync: Use a Shopify collection as the source (recommended for large, changing groups)

Important: Product group changes affect live emails immediately since Zaymo pulls product information when emails are opened.
